Baking is my therapy and my creative outlet. I always baked with my mother when I was little. She is the reason I do it today. I've always been creative. I went to Kent State University for two years. I went there until my mother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. After her death in May of 2004 and a year off school I found that one of my ways of coping was by baking. I was a waitress at the time and would bring my baked goods to work with me. Everyone one at work loved them. It was at this time in my life that I needed to figure out what to do with my life. Which is never an easy task. Although in my case it was a no brainer. Why not go to culinary school to become a pastry chef? So I did... I packed up all of my belongings and moved to Pittsburgh,PA. I went to Pennsylvania Culinary Institute for 3 years. Now here I am back in Ohio.

When my mother was sick she always told me she would always be with me. My mother always loved butterflies. I am often visited by butterflies. I see them everywhere.
